Alloy 80A NIMONIC® 80A is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy, strengthened by additions of titanium, aluminum, and carbon, designed to provide high performance at temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F). The alloy is produced by high-frequency melting and air casting for extruded forms, or by electroslag or vacuum refining for forged products.
Thanks to its excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, NIMONIC® 80A is used in gas turbine components, supports for nuclear boilers, inserts for die-casting molds, automotive exhaust valves, and other high-temperature applications.
