Alloy C-4
Other specifications :
Alloy C-4; UNS N06455 ; Wr 2.4610
HASTELLOY® C-4 alloy (UNS N06455) is the most stable of the widely used nickel-chromium-molybdenum materials, known for their resistance in many aggressive chemical environments, especially hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and chlorides. Stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing solutions (a form of degradation to which austenitic stainless steels are subject). With its high chromium and molybdenum content, it is able to resist both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to pitting and interstitial attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides. It has high temperature stability from 650 to 1040°C.
Alloy C-4- comes in:
- Sheets, plates and bars
- Sheets from 0.5mm – to 10mm
- Plates from 10mm – to 50.8mm
- Bars, from 10mm to 120mm
MAIN APPLICATIONS:
- In inorganic chemistry plants
