Alloy 200/201
Other Specifics:
Pure nickel 99.6%;
Nickel Alloy 200/201 ;
Uns No UNS N02201;
UNS N02200 Werkstoff Nr: 2.4060, 2.4066
Commercially pure (99.6%) machined nickel 200/ 2001 with good mechanical properties and resistance to a range of corrosive fluids. Good thermal, electrical and magnetostrictive properties. Used for a variety of processing equipment, especially to maintain product purity in handling food, synthetic fiber and alkali. Alloy 200/201 alloys are extremely resistant to caustic alkalis up to and including the molten state. The very low carbon content of Alloy 201 makes this alloy impervious to the intergranular level above approximately 315°C (600°F). The presence of chlorates must be kept to a minimum because they accelerate the attack rate.
Nickel 200/201 is supplied in:
- sheets
- Pipes
- bars
- flanges
MAIN APPLICATIONS
- Chemical processing and storage
- Production of synthetic fibres
- Processes in which sodium hydroxide is used
- Production of food and drinks
MAIN FEATURES OF THE ALLOY 200/201 ALLOY
- Excellent corrosion resistance in many alkaline substances.
- Good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range.
- Continuous decrease in magnetization between -273 and 360°C
(-458 and 680°F). The material also demonstrates paramagnetism above the Curie point
