the Alloy most used for gas turbine engine parts.This solid solution reinforced grade has a good level of strength and an excellent level of oxidation resistance up to 1,200°C (2,000°F).strong resistance to case hardening, characteristic which makes it suitable for furnace components. This alloy can be welded using all common methods, such as TIG, MIG, electrode beam welding and resistance welding. For welding, use a matching metal and keep the temperature low After forming at elevated temperatures, the product can be annealed at 1,177°C (2,150°F), for 15 minutes per 1/8″ thickness and then rapidly air cooled.
