Nickel Alloy  C22

Global Alloys supplies all nickel alloys (Alloy C22) for high technology uses, in collaboration with leading European steel mills, manufacturers and distributors we are able to supply every product intended for industries such as: aerospace, aeronautics, defence, racing, energy, oil&gas, purification plants and exchangers, petrochemical and chemical plants.

Alloy  C22

Other specifications:

Inconel 22; Hastelloy C 22 (UNS N06022 / W.Nr. 2.4602)

The Alloy C22 alloy (UNS N06022 / W.Nr. 2.4602) has, by virtue of its controlled chromium, molybdenum, tungsten and iron content, excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing environments, as well as those containing mixed acids . It is especially useful for resisting pitting and crevice corrosion in acid halide environments. While INCONEL Alloy 22 is widely used for its excellent low corrosion resistance, the alloy is also resistant to many high temperature process environments up to 1250°F (677°C). Alloy 22 has been found to be particularly effective for protecting boiler tubes, flow walls, and other components in coal-fired power generation. INCONEL Alloy 22 also offers excellent resistance to aggressive corrosion from metal chloride and sulfate salts. The recommended filler metal for welding is Alloy C 22.

Alloy C22 comes in:

  • Sheets and plates
  • Laminated plates
  • bars, round billets, ingots
  • tubes

MAIN APPLICATIONS:

  • many high temperature environments up to 1250°F (677°C).
  • chemical process plants
  • pollution control,
  • the desulfurization of exhaust gases,
  • waste incineration
  • the cellulose and paper processing industry.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:

  • INCONEL alloy 22 features extraordinary resistance to corrosion and oxidation
  • Resists acid as well as sulfuric and hydrochloric acid.
  • Some other corrosive chemicals to which the alloy is high
  • Resistance to oxidizing acid chlorides,
  • resists wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, ferric and cupric chlorides
  • resists seawater, brines and many mixed or contaminated chemical solutions, both organic and inorganic.
