Alloy 600
Other specifications: Inconel ® 600, Nickel Alloy 600, UNS N06600, Wr.Nr. 2.4816
Alloy 600, a nickel-based alloy with exceptional resistance to high-temperature carburization and oxidation, making it perfect for use in the high-temperature manufacturing industry. It demonstrates useful resistance to dry CI2 and HCl gases at reasonably high temperatures, enabling a wide range of applications, including vacuum furnace equipment, chlorination plants (up to 537.77°C) and in plants producing titanium dioxide. Resistance to static corrosion in molten caustic soda
Inconel 617 comes in:
- Sheets and plates
- Rolled plates and forged plates
- bars, round billets, ingots
- perforated bars and tubes
- forged rings, forged flat and round bars
- custom forged elements
MAIN APPLICATIONS:
Nickel alloy Alloy 600 has been used successfully in the following applications:
- Heat treatment and retort muffles
- Vacuum oven equipment
- Chlorination systems up to 537.77°C
- Plants producing titanium dioxide
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:
- virtual resistance to cracking from chloride stress corrosion cracking,
- exceptional resistance to caustic corrosion,
- the resistance to dry gas CI2 up to approximately 537.77°C and its very high resistance to carburization.
- Due to the high nickel content of the composition, we do not suggest using Inconel 600 at red color temperatures when sulfur is present.
Inconel 600 alloy can suffer stress corrosion cracking.
