Specifications: Wr. 1.4460, AISI 329, UNS S32900, ASTM A240
Material Description: 1.4460 duplex steel is an iron alloy containing 18% to 28% chromium and 4% to 8% nickel, with added molybdenum, copper and other elements. Thanks to its microstructure composed of an austenitic phase and a ferritic phase in balanced quantities, it has excellent resistance to corrosion, in particular to crevice corrosion and stress corrosion. It is also highly resistant to corrosion from organic acids and chlorides.
