SUPER DUPLEX F53 other specifications UNS S32750 – 1.4410 – X2CrNiMoN25.7.4. – F53 EN 10204 3.1. ; NACE MR0175 -NACE MR 0 Austenitic-ferritic stainless steel. Excellent resistance to general corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, corrosion fatigue, pitting, crevice corrosion and erosion corrosion. It has high mechanical strength properties. Good weldability, heat treatment after welding not necessary. Max. temperature for long periods of service: 280 °C (536 °F)/(300 °C/572 °F possible for short periods). Surface condition for excellent corrosion resistance: pickled or machined. We fuse Super Dupelx F53 in the following forms:

  • Rolled and forged round bars
  • Custom forged bars
  • Perforated bars and sockets
  • Drilled rings, molded flanges
  • Pipes

MAIN FEATURES:

  • Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in chlorine environments
  • Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion
  • High general corrosion resistance
  • High mechanical resistance
  • Physical properties that offer design advantages
  • High resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
  • Good weldability

MAIN APPLICATIONS:

  • Oil and gas exploration and production – Chloride containing environments such as treatment and seawater treatment systems
  • Oil and gas – refining, petrochemical and gas processing plants where the process environment contains a high amount of chlorides or is contaminated with hydrochloric acid
  • Marine – Mechanical components requiring high strength, such as drive shafts subjected to high mechanical loading in seawater and other chloride-containing environments
  • Chemical processing – Organic acidic plants, even when process solutions are contaminated with e.g. chlorides
  • Pulp and paper production – Material for bleaching environments containing chlorides
  • Seawater Cooling – Heat exchangers in refineries, chemical industries, process industries and other industries that use seawater or chlorinated seawater as a refrigerant
  • Salt evaporation – Evaporator unit for the production of corrosive salts, e.g. Chlorides, sulfates and carbonates
  • Desalination plants – Pressure tanks for reverse osmosis units, pipes and pipes for transporting sea water, pipes for heat exchangers
  • Geothermal wells – Heat exchangers in geothermal exploitation units, systems exposed to geothermal or high salinity brines
